4 directors quit EMRI board

BS Reporters Hyderabad/New Delhi

Kiran Karnik, the former Nasscom president and a member of the newly-formed Satyam board, has resigned from the directorship of the governing board of Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI), a non-profit organisation founded by former Chairman of Satyam B Ramalinga Raju and his family.

ICICI Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer K V Kamath, former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam and CII's chief mentor Tarun Das have also resigned from the company’s board.

Chief Executive Officer of EMRI Venkat Chengavalli said Karnik, who had joined the board in April last year, tendered his resignation on January 9.
