400 buying houses eye sourcing

More than 35 fashion shows; creations of more than 57 designers on display; 50 top-notch Indian models sashaying down the ramp; and most importantly, 400 buying houses expected to ink sourcing deals worth more than Rs 150 crore.
 
The Lakme India Fashion Week (LIFW), the premier event showcasing the country's fashion prowess that kicks of in the capital from tomorrow is expected to not just hog the limelight for the glitterati in attendance, but also to help rake in some moolah that the fashion fraternity has been hoping for.
 
International buying houses that will come calling to Delhi include biggies like Saks Fifth Avenue from New York, and Browns of London, France's Maria Luisia, Nader Sharif from Dubai and Joyce Boutique of Hong Kong.
 
Saks Fifth Avenue and Browns are some of the most renowned high-fashion destinations in the world. Domestic buyers scouting for designer tie ups will be Kimaya, Raymond's promoted Be, Ebony, Shopper's Stop, Vama and Pantaloon.
