The 57th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress-2005 is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad from December 2-4, 2005. The meeting this time will focus on drug discovery and research. This is the second pharma congress to be held in Hyderabad.

Addressing a press conference, V C Nannapaneni, president of the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association (IPCA) and CMD of Natco Pharma Limited, and Dr Renukaa Dala, executive director of Biological E Limited, said that over 70 eminent speakers, including about 50 from outside the country would address various sessions and workshops to be held as part of the three-day event.

Though the conference would mainly revolve around various scientific discussions related to drug discovery and IPRs' clinical pharmacy deregulatory aspects, the event would also provide business forum to the companies in the form of a trade exhibition and through one-on-one interaction. About 6,000 delegates are expected to participate in the event.
