A Nightmarish 12 Months For Personal Care Product Firms

The growth in sales and profits of eight personal care manufacturing companies declined to record lows during the 12 months ended March 2002.

According to a sample of eight personal care products companies, aggregate sales growth was a meagre 0.2 per cent, while net profit rose by 9.74 per cent.

The grow in sales was the lowest for the companies after recording the first single-digit sales growth in 1998-99.
