Timsy Anand worked with ITC Welcomgroup and Sita Travels for several years before deciding that there was more to life than manning (or womanning) a travel desk.
Armed with an eye for fashion and a unique idea, she started her fashion caravan, with a paltry investment of Rs 30,000. A year down the line, her venture has clocked a turnover of around Rs 2 crore.
I was always appreciated for the things I wore, though I never really patronised big labels. And then an idea struck me after I met fashion designer Alia Khan. I was still working for Sita Travels at the time but she wanted me to showcase her collection. I had no idea how to do it, but decided to give it a shot.
