AAI, AHA join hands to impart training

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Air Hostess Academy (AHA) have signed an agreement, under which AHA students will undergo a training programme at the Pune International Airport.

Pune Airport director Captain Deepak Shastri told media persons this is a pilot project taken up by AAI, as part of its endeavour to offer training to aviation career aspirants.

Shastri said in due course all airports in the country would conduct similar training programmes with various institutions.AHA assistant general manager Bela Goyal said the ministry of civil aviation has taken a policy decision to allow students in aviation sector to avail on-site work experience at airports.

"Pune airport and AHA will execute the pilot project...  AAI will charge the institute for conducting the programme. AAI is open to training students from any aviation training institute," Shastri said.

"The training of the first batch of 30 AHA students is alrady underway at Pune. Every batch will work with AAI officials, at airline counters and other work stations at the airport for 30 days," Goyal said.
