Aban Offshore Ltd, India’s largest offshore drilling contractor in the private sector, has posted a marginal 5 per cent growth in consolidated net profit at Rs 75.16 crore in the second quarter ending September 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 71.45 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Net income of the group, rose sharply to Rs 830.45 crore from Rs 709.96 crore in the quarter under consideration.
On standalone basis, the company has posted a marginal 7 per cent fall in net profit at Rs 81.35 crore in the second quarter of the current financial year as compared to Rs 87.34 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
