Abbott India FY-04 net jumps 50%

Abbott India has posted a 50% surge in net profit to Rs 102.25 crore for the year ended November 30, 2004 (FY-04) as compared Rs 67.98 crore for the year ended November 30, 2003 (FY-03). Total Income has increased 17% from Rs 390.56 crore in FY-03 to Rs 457.07 crore for the year ended November 30, 2004.

The company has reported a 11% rise in net profit of Rs 16.43 crore for the fourth quarter ended November 30, 2004 as compared to Rs 14.86 crore for the quarter ended November 30, 2003. Total Income has increased from Rs 100 crore in Q4-03 to Rs 107.85 crore for the quarter ended November 30, 2004.

The board of directors has also recommended a dividend of Rs 35/- per share on 1,52,80,100 equity shares of Rs 10 each.
