ABG Shipyard bags Rs 1,030cr Singapore order

ABG Shipyard today announced it has secured an order valued at Rs 1,030.50 crore ($ 229 mn) from Pacific First Shipping, Singapore for 12 vessels for their fleet expansion program.

According to an official release issued by the company to the BSE today, the order is for construction of 9 AHTS vessels and 3 dry bulk carriers. The last delivery will be in December 2009.

With this, the company has started accepting orders for its upcoming Dahej Shipyard where it can make vessels up to 1,20,000 DWT. Following this order, its order book position, as on date, stands at about Rs 3,475.50 crore approximately, the release said.
