ACC net up 15% |
ACC on Thursday reported a 15.1 percent rise in profit for 2007. The company, in which Swiss-based Holcim controls about 41 per cent, said consolidated net profit rose to Rs1427 crore ($362 million) for the year ended December from Rs 1240 crore a year earlier. |
Net sales rose to Rs 7,067 crore from Rs 5,851 crore for the Mumbai-based firm, which is India's biggest cement maker on a standalone basis. |
Ceat net up 63% at Rs 19 cr |
RPG group company, Ceat has clocked a 63 per cent jump in its net profit at Rs 19.22 crore in the third quarter of FY08 against Rs 11.78 crore in the year-ago period. |
The company's gross sale for the reporting quarter stood at Rs 630 crore as compared to Rs 600 crore in the year-ago period, a release said here today. |

India's leading tyre marker MRF posted 79 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 51.75 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 when compared with Rs 28.96 crore in the corresponding period a year earlier. |

Uttam Galva Steels has recorded a net profit of Rs 29.15 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2007, an increase of 29 per cent over the same period last year. Net sales for the quarter touched Rs 582.6 9 crore, up by 12 per cent. |
