ACC Dec despatches flat at 1.65mn tonne

ACC today reported a 3% increase in despatches at 1.65 million tonne in December 2006 when compared with 1.60 million tonne in December 2005.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, production in December moved up to 1.63 million tonne from 1.57 million tonne in December 2005.

Cumulative despatches (January - December 2006) increased 6% to 18.62 million tonne as against 17.46 million tonne in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Production moved up to 18.64 million tonne from 17.42 million tonne, the release added.
