ACC Jan despatches up 8%

Associated Cement Companies (ACC) has reported a 7.65% increase in despatches at 1.505 million tonne in January 2005 as against 1.398 million tonne in January 2004.

According to a release issued to the BSE today, production moved up to 1.494 million tonne in January 2005 from 1.420 million tonne in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

Cummulative despatches (April 2004-January 2005) increased 8.5% to 13.615 million tonne from 12.548 million tonne in April 2003-January 2004. Production was up at 13.655 million tonne as againt 12.572 million tonne in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
