ACC Ltd manufacturers of cement and ready mix concrete today announced a dip of 7.7 per cent in its net profit at Rs 260 crore for the second quarter ending 30 September 2008. Its net profit for the corresponding quarter last year stood at Rs 281.79 crore.
The company recorded revenues of Rs 1913.78 crore an increase of 13.5 per cent over the corresponding quarter last year at Rs 1686.76 crore.
Its sales volumes were 4.9 million tonnes of cement during the third quarter (July-Sept 2008) a growth of 3.8 per cent compared to the corresponding period last year.
In a statement tot he BSE, the company said that its sales performance was some what impacted by the unprecedented floods in Bihar and in Orissa, and in general by the early onset of monsoon in large parts of the country.
