ACC proposes to delist its Global Depository shares

ACC, the country's largest cement maker, has proposed to delist its Global Depository shares, which at present are listed in the London Stock Exchange.
 
In a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company said that it has directed the depository (Citibank N A, Newyork) to terminate the deposit agreement with effect from 15 October, 2008.
 
This has reference to the deposit agreement in March, 2008 between ACC and CitiBank N A acting in its capacity as depository and all holders and beneficial owners of Global Depository shares evidenced by Global Depository Receipts issued under the Agreement.
