ACC's production falls sightly in August

Cement production at ACC was down to 1.31 million tonne in August this year when compared with 1.32 million tonne in the same month last year.

Cement despatches, however, went up by 5,000 tonne at 1.35 million tonne as against 1.3 million tonne in August, 2005, the company said in a release here today.

Cumulative production and despatches for January-August period stood at 12.45 million tonne and 12.43 million tonne respectively.
