Cement major ACC saw production slow down in the month of September to 1.52 million tonnes, while sales of the construction material stood at 1.58 million tonnes.
ACC, in which Swiss major Holcim holds the maximum stake, had produced 1.64 MT and sold 1.63 MT of cement in September last year, the company said in a statement.
Total sales of the company during the January-September period of the current year stood at 15.59 MT, as against 16.12 MT in the same period last year.
Production of cement by the company also fell to 15.57 MT, compared to 16.12 MT during the first nine months of the previous year.
