Accenture to develop five mobile governance apps for Odisha

Accenture Services Ltd will develop five mobile governance applications for the Odisha government.

The specific areas for these applications will be identified by the state government.

Accenture Services today inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government under which it will develop a roadmap for skill development that will help prepare the state for investment in various IT and ITes (IT enabled services) sectors.

The MoU was signed between M S Padhi, state IT secretary and Krishna Giri, managing director, Accenture Services Ltd in the presence of chief minister Naveen Patnaik and Abinash Basisth, chairman of the company.
 

“We are happy to collaborate with the state government for citizen centric e-governance applications. The company looks forward to leverage technology for service delivery,” said Basisth.

Accenture will also explore the possibility of establishment of a state technology resource centre. The company is keen to have a mutually beneficial tie-up with the state government in areas like policy framework, research and solutions in the field of innovation and technology, solution management, outsourcing and skill promotion.
