Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group firm Reliance Venture Asset Management has entered a partnership with the student entrepreneurship organisation of Stanford University for encouraging entrepreneurial activities.
The tie-up between the corporate venture capital company and the Business Association of Stanford Entrepreneurial Students (BASES), which is a non-profit and student-run organisation, aims at nurturing talent through ADAG's 'summer incubation programme' in India.
"The aim of this partnership is to strengthen the entrepreneurship collaboration between India and Stanford University," Reliance Venture Asset Management said in a statement today.
As part of the partnership, ADAG will associate itself with BASES 'e-challenge', a business plan competition, and 'e-Bootcamp', a three-day entrepreneurship workshop.
"Over the years, we have witnessed some exemplary ideas emerge from the student community at Stanford. We look forward to nurturing this talent through our 'summer incubation programme' in India," Reliance Venture Asset Management CEO Harshal J Shah said.
Commenting on the partnership, BASES Co-President Alvin Tse said the initiative would help the participants to explore entrepreneurial prospects in the Indian market.
