Adani Enterprises reported a 104 per cent rise in net profit for the quarter ended March 31, at Rs 339.80 crore, against Rs 166.05 crore in the corresponding quarter in the previous year. Consolidated net sales of the company, however, were down 9.5 per cent to Rs 7,824.47 crore in the fourth quarter compared to the previous year’s Rs 8,654.05 crore.
The company’s net profit for the 12-month period ended March 31, was Rs 919.30 crore — up 82 per cent from Rs 504.65 crore registered in 2008-09. Consolidated net sales for the entire financial year stood at Rs 25,873.89 crore — down 1.17 per cent from Rs 26,181.81 crore in the previous financial year.
On a standalone basis, Adani Enterprises registered a net profit of Rs 57.30 crore in the fourth quarter, down 58 per cent from Rs 136.71 crore a year ago.
