Adani revises CNG prices by 10%

Passing on the excise duty hike to consumers, Adani Gas Ltd. on Saturday announced a price revision in CNG by 10 per cent from April 1, 2012.

As against Rs 45.50 per kg which it was charging since November 16, 2011, the company has revised CNG prices to Rs 50.20 per kg which is inclusive of 14.42 per cent excise duty and 15 per cent VAT with effect from April 1, 2012.

"The revision was necessary on account of significant increase in International Crude Oil price as well as LNG price," the company said in an official statement.

Adani Gas operates 50 CNG stations in Ahmedabad and 7 CNG stations in Vadodara and supplies over 350,00 kgs of CNG to over 100,000 vehicles daily. AGL also supplies Natural Gas to 150,000 domestic customers, 700 industries and 1100 commercial customers in Ahmedabad.
