Adige, Bhutani retire from Fortis Healthcare board

Fortis Healthcare today said its two directors Ramesh L Adige and V M Bhutani have retired and their positions in the board would not be filled.

In a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) the company said  both Adige and Bhutani were to retire by rotation at the annual general meeting (AGM) held on September 18 unless they sought for re-appointment.

Both did not offer themselves for re-appointment and accordingly have ceased to be the directors of the company, it said.

"Since no proposal had been received for filling the vacancies caused by the retirement of V M Bhutani and Ramesh L Adige at the aforesaid AGM, the shareholders of the company, expressly resolved not to fill up the same," the company said.

Shares of Fortis Healthcare today closed at Rs 167.40 on the BSE, up 0.97 per cent from its previous close.
