Film and entertainment services company Adlabs Films, a part of the Reliance ADA Group, today said it has reorganised operations of its movie chain BIG Cinemas into two business strategic units based on geographical division.

"Big Cinemas' network is expanding across the country and we are putting in place a core team of leaders to drive the strategy and the execution required to operate this extensive network of cinemas in India and further augment the company's ability to serve our customers better," Adlabs Films CEO Anil Arjun said in a statement here.

BIG Cinemas Chief Operating Officer (COO) Tushar Dhingra would focus on the company's operations in North, East and Central India. Ashish Saksena will be joining the BIG Cinemas team as COO for West and South India.

BIG Cinemas has a network of over 213 screens spread across 66 cities. The company is proposing to scale up BIG Cinemas' network considerably and plans to add 100 more screens by next year leading to a presence across 85 cities.

Adlabs also has a global footprint with 247 screens across the US, Netherlands and Malaysia.

BIG Cinemas aims to expand its regional market penetration in India. To adequately support this growth momentum, Adlabs has reorganised the BIG Cinemas' operations into geographies, the statement said.
