Adobe to increase marketing headcount

Global software products major Adobe today said it will boost its marketing activities in India by increasing headcount and creating an internal sales cell.     

"As we bring more new products, we will be increasing our sales and marketing division and will be forming internal sales teams for the purpose," Adobe Systems India Director (Sales) Sandeep Mehrotra said at the launch of its software product 'Creative Suit 4'.     

He said Adobe would be looking to enhance its channel partners, which is currently numbered 70 across the country.     

The company would be increasing its marketing headcount to 45 from 21 at present, Adobe Systems India Country Marketing Manager Prabhjeet Singh said.     

 

Adobe would also be carrying out various activities such as end use road shows in 8-10 cities across India in the next few months to promote its new product.     

At present, Adobe employs about 1,300 people in India, majority of whom are software developers. It has two research and development centres in Bangalore and Noida.     

The company's engineering teams in India have created and delivered some of its global products, including Illustrator, FrameMaker, Premiere elements, Encore and Technical Communication Suite.      The Indian team also played a major role in development of Creative Suit 4, Mehrotra said.     

The latest product from Adobe enables creative work over cross-media such print, web, mobile, film and video production.
