ADP Private Limited, the Indian subsidiary of US-based Fortune 500 company Automatic Data Processing, Inc, (ADP), today announced its plans to launch operations in Pune, which will be up and running by this February. |
The Pune facility will support ADP's continued growth, expand ADP India's operational capacity and also serve as a business continuity and disaster recovery centre for ADP India's Hyderabad operations. |
"Expanding ADP India's operations is another milestone in our ongoing offshoring and smart shoring strategy to support our vision for sustained organic growth and margin improvement," said Gary Butler, president and chief executive officer of ADP. |
"In addition to this new facility in India, we have recently announced two new US facilities and will continue to evaluate expansion opportunities aligned with the company's domestic and international growth," Butler added. |
The new facility will be located in SP Infocity at Hadapsar, Pune, and includes over 100,000 square feet of working space. The centre will house R&D functions as well as BPO offshoring support to ADP's global business divisions and clients. |
Initially, the Pune centre will employ around 300 associates, which would be raised to over 1,000 over the next two years. |
"Pune offered us several advantages - proximity to Hyderabad, availability of quality employees, fast-paced infrastructure growth and an overall environment, which is conducive to growth," said Shakti Sagar, managing director, ADP India. |
ADP Private Limited recently expanded its Hyderabad operations to over 200,000 sft and now employs approximately 2,000 associates that work in both R&D and BPO services. |
