Bangalore-based Ardex Endura (India) Pvt. Ltd. (AEIPL) has signed an MoU with Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Limited (BAPL), to set up a manufacturing unit in the proposed airport city at Andal.
AEIPL, a joint venture company between Germany's Ardex group and Prism Cement, has got a three acre plot from BAPL for the same. The company is in business of tile-fixing adhesive and allied products. The entire project will require investment of an estimated Rs10 crore and will offer employment to around 60 people directly and 150 people indirectly in the first phase. “We have two plants (Bangalore and Baroda) and 29 branches across India.Our manufacturing facility spread over 3 acres will be a great expansion move for us ”Gopinath Krishnan, MD of Ardex Endura said.
Singapore's Changi Airports International along with a group of Indian entrepreneurs are building a new airport at Andal in Bardhman district of West Bengal. Changi owns a 26 per cent stake in Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Ltd (BAPL), which is executing the project.
