Home and commercial relocation service, Agarwal Movers, will invest Rs 100 crore over the next three years in Trucking Cube, as it looks to migrate its entire service to the different-sized cube container model by July next year.

The company will utilise the capital to grow the transport ecosystem and add 8,000 more cubes to its inventory, taking the total up to 10,000. It claims Trucking Cube will eliminate transshipment, increasing the efficiency by 200%, while also reducing costs by 6%.

“The Rs 100 crore investment will be made over the next three years to grow the ecosystem and the number of cubes to 10,000 from 2,000 cubes said,” Ramesh Agarwal, Chairman of Agarwal Movers, in a statement. “It is important for the customer to know and understand the value brought by its transport partner."

The cubes or containers will come in six different sizes, ranging from four to 20 feet. Customers will be able to order a container depending on the volume of goods they have to get transporter. The company also plans to assign special containers for food and pharma consignments.
