Agrani Convergence Ltd (ACL) is launching Agrani Switch Technoaid, India's first branded after-sales service centre for telecom, information, media and entertainment (convergence) products.
Agrani Switch Technoaid is a single-window service brand for all technology-related problems on convergent products.
ACL, part of the Subhash Chandra-promoted ASC Enterprises, will invest close to 8-10 per cent in the proposed investment of Rs 115 crore in the Switch Technoaid centres.

"Servicing of technology and convergent products in India is very fragmented with most after-sales support being offered by small-time repair shops. Customers are feeling the need for organised, prompt and professional service support," said Pankaj Mohindroo, chief executive officer, ACL.
"It is in the light of these things that we felt the need for a branded and formatted service across the country which stands for high quality service to the consumer. We are also looking at direct-to-home hardware and services in the C-band," he added.
The centres would offer services in areas such as design, implementation and maintaining of IT infrastructure, annual maintenance, facility management, and network management. The division will also offer 24-hour call centres.
ACL is planning 54 such fixed Technoaid centres in the country. At present, the Technoaid centre is operational only in Delhi. "We are also planning to have a mobile service centre," said Mohindroo.
Recently, ACL had opened a series of superstores -- Agrani Switch -- for retailing convergent products across the country. Out of the 12 superstores, the company has two stores in Mumbai at Fort and Ghatkopar.
