For the full year, the company reported a net profit of Rs 16.3 crore, as against Rs 16.1 crore, an increase of 1.24 per cent, while total income plummeted 2.67 per cent to Rs 1,013.2 crore, as compared with Rs 1,041 crore last year.
Turnover of branded foods business was up 19.35 per cent to Rs 176.4 crore during the fourth quarter, as against Rs 149.8 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
For the full year, branded foods business contributed Rs 648.8 crore, as compared with Rs 542.6 crore, an increase of 19.57 per cent, reflecting the continued focus of the company on value-added differentiated products in the edible oils and goods portfolio as it continues to derisk the business by reducing dependence on commodities trading operations, Utpal SenGupta, president and CEO of Agro Tech, stated in a press release on Thursday.
