Air Arabia plane makes emergency landing in Mumbai

Airbus plane was en eroute from Sharjah to Kozhikode when pilot got an indication of smoke from cockpit system

An Air Arabia Airbus A320 plane made an emergency landing in Mumbai in wee hours of Sunday due to indication of smoke in aircraft's cargo hold.

The Airbus plane was en eroute from Sharjah to Kozhikode when the pilot got an indication of smoke from the cockpit system.

The plane was diverted to Mumbai. Full emergency was declared and the aircraft landed safely around 2:45 am. Inspection on ground revealed there was no fire and it turned to be a false alarm. There were 171 passengers and six crew on board the plane.
