Air Deccan announces new flights for Ahmedabad

Air Deccan has announced the introduction of new flights from Ahmedabad to Pune, Bangalore,Goa and Delhi. Ahmedabad will be Air Deccan's 8th aircraft base and ther first in the state of Gujarat.
 
A brand new Airbus A 320 (180 seater) will be stationed at Ahmedabad which will be deployed on the new sectors.
 
While the Ahmedabad-Pune and Ahmedabad-Bangalore will commence operations on 2nd November , the Ahmedabad-Delhi and Ahmedabad-Goa flights will begin operations on 20th November.
 
At present, Air Deccan connects Ahmedabad to Hyderabad and with the induction of the new airbus, Ahmedabad will be connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Goa.
 
Captain G R Gopinath, MD Air Deccan, said "It takes approximately 15 hours to travel by train from Ahmedabad to Delhi or Ahmedabad to Pune as against 1.5 hours by air. Low cost connectivity is extremely essential to both trade as well as tourism."
