Air-India board okays 28 aircraft purchase plan

 In a decision, which will please both aircraft manufacturing majors, the board has approved Airbus A340 for the 10 medium capacity long-range aircraft and Boeing 737-800 for 18 small capacity short-range aircraft. All the 28 aircraft will be powered by engines made by CFM International.
