AirAsia India has said it sold 25,000 discounted tickets on flights between Bangalore-Goa and Bangalore-Chennai within 48 hours of opening for bookings. The airline said its first flight from Bangalore–Goa on June 12 was sold out within 10 minutes of opening for sale.

AirAsia had launched Rs 5 basic fare for sale till Sunday. This triggered a fare war with IndiGo launching one rupee basic fare on the same routes.
