AirAsia to announce chairman for its India airline

AirAsia group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes told Business Standard in a SMS that the apointee is a "legend" and "one of India's greatest thinkers."

AirAsia will very soon  announce appointment of a chairman for its planned domestic airline.
 
AirAsia group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes told Business Standard in a SMS that the  apointee is  a "legend" and "one of India's greatest thinkers."
 
On Saturday tweeted, Fernandes tweeted "Will be making 2 great announcements on Airasia India Chairman and special adviser. 2 great people who will strengthen Airasia India so much.
 
The announcement may be made on Sunday.                                       
 
AirAsia plans to start domestic operations in India from Chennai hub later this year and is awaiting clearances from civil aviation ministry.
