Airlines Take Steps To Curb Last-Minute Cancellations

International airlines have imposed heavy charges on last minute cancellations to ensure better seat inventory management. Many airlines have also started issuing debit notes to travel agents, who cancel bookings or fail to convert bookings into actual tickets seven days prior to the date of departure.
