Bharti Airtel, the country’s largest telecom service provider by subscriber base, on Thursday, named Manish Prakash as the director of its Enterprise & Government business. Prakash will report to Gopal Vittal, joint managing director & chief executive officer (India), Bharti Airtel Limited.
Prakash will be responsible for strategy and leadership for the company’s business-to-business vertical in India. He will focus on consolidating Bharti Airtel’s enterprise and government business, devise and execute growth strategies, and will lead product innovation. He will also be a part of the Airtel Management Board, the company said in a release.
With about 20 years of experience, Prakash joins Bharti Airtel from Accenture, where he was the managing director for the infrastructure managed services vertical for Asia-Pacific and Japan. Prior to Accenture, he was associated with S K C&C, the affiliate company of S K Telecom in Korea as the chief executive officer of the international business division and served on the board of affiliate organisations across China, India, central Asia and the US. He has worked with Tech Mahindra, IBM and Hewlett-Packard.
