Bharti Airtel, the country’s leading telecommunications service provider, has launched 4G services in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on 10 MHz of 1800 MHz band spectrum.

“This is for the first time in the country that Airtel has deployed 10 MHz bandwidth on its 1800 MHz spectrum to launch 4G services in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh,” Dharmender Khajuria, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Airtel for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, said. The company on Tuesday launched the service in Chhattisgarh.

The other telecommunication providers had been using 5 MHz bandwidth. Khajuria added that Airtel has deployed state-of-the-art FD LTE technology in the 1800 MHz to roll out 4G services. “This would help deliver a superior mobile broadband experience to Airtel customers,” he added.

The company has come out with different attractive plans. In an innovative 4G pre-paid pack priced at Rs 1,498, the company offers 6 GB 4G data upfront and customers would get 1GB at Rs 54 for the next 12 months. “The customers could recharge the 1GB pack any number of times,” Khajuria said.

Airtel also offers 10 GB plan for Rs 249 with any 4G handset. With Rs 249 recharge, 1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer’s account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customers through My Airtel app. The customers could however avail a maximum three recharges within 90 days on the offer.

In the postpaid plan, company offers infinity plans starting from Rs 1,199 that provides 4G data with unlimited voice calls.
