Ajanta Pharma net up 18% at Rs 46 lakh
Ajanta Pharma has posted a 18 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 46 lakh for the quarter ended June 30, 2004, compared with Rs 39 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total income increased to Rs 28.54 crore (Rs 23.91 crore).
 
Clariant bottomline down 17% to Rs 4.9 cr
Clariant India has posted a 17 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 4.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2004, compared with Rs 5.92 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year. Total income fell to Rs 78.65 crore (Rs 82.67 crore).
 
Colour Chem net vaults 124% to Rs 8.4 cr
Colour Chem has posted a 124 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 8.41 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2004, compared with Rs 3.75 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total income rose to Rs 109.30 crore (Rs 99.07 crore).
 
EID Parry's Q1 net rises 32.7% to Rs 24.55 cr
Murugappa group's EID Parry (India) Ltd has posted a 32.7 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 24.55 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, 2004, as compared with Rs 18.50 crore posted in the corresponding quarter last year.
 
This rise, however, includes Rs 9.53 crore realised from the sale of shares held in Parry Confectionery Ltd. EID Parry's sales turnover was up 15 per cent at Rs 153.20 crore (Rs 132.68 crore).
 
Other income was up at Rs 20.07 crore (Rs 16.42 crore). Gross of excise and net of intersegmental revenue, this yielded a turnover of Rs 173.27 crore (Rs 149.10). Interest costs fell by 48 per cent to Rs 98 lakh (Rs 1.90 crore). Provision for depreciation was down at Rs 6.86 crore (Rs 7.52 crore).
