Ajanta Pharma Q1 net up 80% to Rs 13 cr

Drug firm Ajanta Pharma today said its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 rose by 80% to Rs 12.5 crore over the same period previous fiscal.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 7 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 Ajanta Pharma said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 127 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 as against Rs 98.28 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal.

Shares of Ajanta Pharma were today trading at Rs 358 in the afternoon trade on BSE, down 0.5% from its previous close.
