Ajey Mehta is slated to take charge of Microsoft Devices India, formerly Nokia India, as managing director (MD). Currently, Mehta has additional charge of India operations, and heads sales for India, West Asia and Africa. He has been area head for India since August 2014 after P Balaji, the previous MD of Nokia India, resigned. Mehta has been with the Nokia group for 10 years and has held several key roles, including that of head of retail in Singapore.
Before joining Nokia, Mehta worked at Coca Cola India and ITC India.
An e-mail sent to Microsoft Devices India remained unanswered. Microsoft had bought out Nokia's mobile phone business in April this year.
