Alembic net up 48% |
The Baroda-based Alembic has posted a growth of 48 per cent in the net profit at Rs 10.8 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2005 as against Rs 7.35 crore of the corresponding quarter inthe previous year. |
Gross sales during the quarter increased to Rs 142.5 crore from Rs 132.69 crore of the corresponding period last year. During 2004-05, the company registered a net profit of Rs 51.83 crore with a gross sales of 572.42 crore. |
Aztec PAT up 163% to Rs 7.4 cr |
Aztec Software and Technology Services posted consolidated revenues of Rs 42.2 crore in the first quarter of 2005-06, growing by 162 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the previous year and sequentially by 17 per cent over the previous quarter. |

Britannia net dips |
The net profit of Britannia Industries declined from Rs 60 crore in the first quarter of 2004-05 to Rs 39.1 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal. |
However, the sales has jumped from Rs 401 crore to Rs 412 crore during the same period. The company has said that the net profit declined for the quarter ending June 30, 2005 owing to one-time profit of Rs 38.4 crore on sale of long term investments in the previous year vis-à-vis an amount of 12 lakh in the current year. |
Coromandel nets Rs 10 cr |
Coromandel Fertilisers has posted a turnover of Rs 125.89 crore, other income of Rs 1.76 crore and a net profit of Rs 9.88 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2005. |
During the corresponding period last fiscal, the company's turnover and net profit stood at Rs 192.43 crore and 21.01 crore respectively. |
