Allen group targets Rs100 crore turnover in five years

 The group, which has as many as 14 companies under its umbrella, is in the production of pharmaceutical, homeopathy and herbal medicine and dietary supplement both in prescription as well as over the counter (OTC) format.

 Group chief G P Sarkar said the flagship company Allen Laboratories would now venture into ayurvedic consumer items. It is coming up with products like ayurveda based body massage oil, hair oil, body lotion, prickly heat powder, among others.

 These products will be marketed under Allen brand. However, the group is considering to introduce another brand namely Allen Ayur, Sarkar informed, adding that 100 ayurvedic products were in pipeline. Sarkar said they would be introduced in the prescription format.
