Integrated textile company Alok Industries today said its operating profit after tax rose 26.18 per cent at Rs 57.11 crore in Q2 FY'10 against Rs 45.26 crore in the year-ago period.
The company clocked net sales of Rs 974.79 crore, up 39.63 per cent in the quarter under review as against Rs 698.14 crore in the year-ago period, a press release issued here said.
Export sales during the period stood at Rs 318.77 crore as against Rs 261.16 crore in the year-ago period, up 22.06 per cent.
For the six-months ended September 30, 2009, the company clocked net sales of Rs 1,761.07 crore, up 41.84 per cent over the Rs 1,241.58 crore of the year-ago period, the release said.
While export sales for the period rose 27.12 per cent at Rs 583.63 crore, its operating profit after tax stood at Rs 89.01 crore, up 18.54 per cent.
