Alstom India saw its net profit doubled to Rs 12.88 crore in the first quarter of current fiscal, mainly on the back of higher revenues.
The entity had a net profit of Rs 6.30 crore in the three months ended June 2011.
In a regulatory filing, Alstom India said its total income in the June quarter surged to Rs 441.36 crore against Rs 281.11 crore in the year-ago period.
The company, earlier known as Alstom Projects India Ltd, has announced a dividend of Rs 10 per share for the financial year 2011-12.
Alstom India is part of Alstom group, a global player in the area of energy solutions and transport.
According to its website, Alstom has more than 8,000 employees in India.
Shares of the company today closed flat at Rs 377.75 apiece on the BSE.
