Alstom T&D India today said it has bagged two contracts worth a combined Rs 130 crore from Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited.
"Alstom T&D India has been awarded two air-insulated substation projects by Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (AP Transco) to strengthen the power supply in the state," the company, which is an Indian arm of french power equipment maker Alstom, said in a statement.
The total value of the contracts is approximately Rs 130 crore. The scope of work for both these substations includes the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of air-insulated substations.

The first order worth Rs 66.9 crore is to supply air-insulated substation at Suryapet in Nalgonda district.
The second order is worth Rs 63.3 crore and covers the supply of the Kamavarapukota air-insulated substation in the West Godavari district.
"The substations will form part of the region's ongoing efforts to keep pace with rapid economic development in Andhra Pradesh by increasing both the availability and reliability of the electrical network," Rathin Basu, Managing Director, Alstom T&D India said in the statement.
Shares of Alstom T&D closed at Rs 165 apiece, up 2.58% on the BSE.
