Alstom T&D unit valued at Rs 153cr

The T&D business of Alstom has been valued at Rs 153 crore.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, "two independent valuers - N.M Raji & Co and Bansi S Mehta & Co - who were appointed by the board to evaluate the T&D business on a going-concern basis have submitted a joint report giving a value of Rs 153 crore, which been taken on record by the board at its meeting held on January 31, 2005."

The board has decided to forward the said valuation report to Alstom, France, which has divested its T&D business to Areva, the release added.
