Amara Raja Batteries Q1 net up 28% at Rs 98 cr

Company posted net profit of Rs 76 cr for the April-June period of 2012-13 fiscal

Amara Raja Batteries today posted 28.51% increase in net profit at Rs 97.8 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013.

The company had posted net profit of Rs 76.1 crore for the April-June period of 2012-13 fiscal.

The Q1, 2013-14, net sales rose to Rs 886.8 crore from Rs 687.8 crore during the same period of previous fiscal, Amara Raja Batteries said in a statement.

The company scrip closed at Rs 276.95, up 8.04%, on the BSE.
