Industrial and automotive battery major Amara Raja Batteries today said its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, rose by 6 per cent to Rs 3.21 crore, from Rs 3.02 crore during last year. The sales for the first quarter increased by 59 per cent to Rs 67.23 crore against Rs 42.24 crore in the same period last year, a release said here. |
Andhra Bank net dips 43% |
Andhra Bank reported a 43.28 per cent decrease in net profit at Rs 85.16 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 compared with Rs 150.16 crore for the corresponding period previous year. Total income has decreased to Rs 694.43 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 from Rs 755.28 crore in the year-ago period, the bank said. |
Bharat Forge Q1 net up 44% |
Bharat Forge reported a 43.85 per cent rise in net profit of Rs 48.91 crore for the first quarter this fiscal compared with Rs 34 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Total income has increased 43.58 per cent to Rs 374.68 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 from Rs 260.95 crore in the year-ago period. |
Cholamandalam net dips 20% |
Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company registered a net profit of Rs 7.52 crore in 2005-06 Q1, lower by 20.16 per cent in relation to the net profit of Rs 9.42 crore seen in the corresponding period of the previous year. The previous year's profit included a one-time income of Rs 2.17 crore that came from sale of investments. |
IPCL net up 83% |
Indian Petrochemicals Corporation (IPCL) has registered a turnover of Rs 2,266 crore and a net profit of Rs 225 crore for the quarter ended June 30. The turnover of the company has increased nine per cent compared with Rs 2,086 crore during the first quarter of previous financial year. Net profit saw an increase of 83 per cent as against Rs 123 crore for the same quarter previous fiscal. |
Syndicate Bank net up 30% |
Syndicate Bank reported a 30.23 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 163.11 crore for the first quarter this fiscal compared with Rs 125.24 crore for the same quarter in the previous fiscal. Total income increased to Rs 1,085.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30 from Rs 1075.57 crore in the year-ago period, the bank informed the BSE. |
