Close on the heels of announcing the launch of its India marketplace, Amazon.in today announced the launch of three new stores: mobiles and accessories, cameras and photography, and portable media players. Indian shoppers can now shop for more than 20,000 electronic products.
With this announcement there are now six categories of products on Amazon.in including books, movies and TV shows and the Kindle family of e-readers, ebooks and Kindle Fire tablets.
Amit Agarwal, VP and country manager of Amazon India said, “Customers have been asking us to bring the Amazon experience to electronic products in India.”
The new stores will feature a full range of popular products and brands from leading brands like Nokia, HTC, Micromax, Blackberry, Samsung, Sennheiser, Panasonic, Sony, Canon and Nikon among others. Customers can shop from more than 150 electronics retailers including Croma, Vijay Sales, UniverCell, Saholic, and JJ Mehta & Sons.

Items fulfilled by Amazon feature additional benefits of Cash on Delivery, delivery tracking to the doorstep, and free returns pick-up. As a limited period launch promotion, customers will enjoy free delivery with no minimum order value on all orders fulfilled by Amazon.
Amazon.in is also accessible on mobile devices allowing customers to shop anywhere.
