Amazon Seller Services revenue up 42%; losses rise to Rs 5,849 crore

Amazon Seller Services reported its revenue for the financial year 2019-20 (FY20) at Rs 11,028 crore, a 42 per cent jump since the last financial year. The company further reported a net loss of Rs 5,849 crore during the same fiscal. This is a 3 per cent increase from the last financial year, according to regulatory documents sourced from business intelligence platform Tofler.

The company’s total expenses for the fiscal were Rs 16,877 crore.

The revenue was generated from areas such as web-based information technology-enabled services, business-to-business wholesale trading, and wholesale electronic equipments.
