Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), a global provider of processing solutions in computing, graphics and consumer electronic markets, has formed an alliance with Hyderabad-based game development company FXLabs Studios to foster game development in the country. With this, FXLabs becomes the first Indian game development company to join forces with AMD for delivering games based on major Bollywood flicks using AMD’s technology.
Under the alliance, FXLabs will deploy AMD's latest ATI FirePro series of workstation graphics technology for the development of upcoming games, provide test base consisting of AMD Radeon series of consumer graphics processors. In addition, AMD will provide the technology expertise of its graphics engineers.
“We will be using the AMD technology in our forthcoming Bollywood movie-based games. After our Ghajini game, there is lot of interest shown by Bollywood studios. We currently have a few proposals and we will be finalising one of it shortly,” Sashi Reddi, founder and chief executive of FXLabs, told mediapersons here on Tuesday.
